Swim Team - Makos Beginner/Intermediate (Northwest)

Overview:
The Mako’s Beginner/Intermediate Swim Team is a developmental squad designed for young swimmers, who want to improve their competitive swimming skills. This program provides expert coaching and structured practice sessions to help swimmers enhance their stroke technique, endurance, and overall swimming performance.

Coaching Excellence:
Coach Thomas Schmucker leads the Mako’s team. With a background as a lifelong Master’s swimmer and former University of Chicago swimmer, Coach Schmucker brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. His coaching focuses on instilling a strong work ethic, perfecting stroke development, and honing the critical swimming skills necessary for competitive success.

Training Schedule:
The Mako’s Beginner/Intermediate swim squad meets three times a week to maximize skill development and performance improvement:

Monday: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
