Nurture your body and mind during pregnancy with our gentle and supportive Prenatal Yoga class. Designed specifically for expectant mothers in all stages of pregnancy, this class offers a full, well-rounded practice with a focus on safe and effective poses designed to relieve common discomforts, improve posture, and build strength for labor and delivery. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques, you’ll feel more empowered in your changing body, and cultivate a deeper connection with your baby.
The class begins with community-building circle time and centering, followed by flowing sequences that include modifications tailored to the needs of various stages of pregnancy, and a restful savasana. The ultimate goal is to create a supportive space to connect with your body, ease stress, and build community while preparing mentally and physically for birth.
No prior yoga experience is necessary. Please consult your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program.

Instructor: Heidi Brown
Heidi Brown is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher with three years of experience teaching Gentle Yoga at the YMCA. She has completed the 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Certification through Yoga Renew and is currently advancing her skills with a 300-hour training also offered by Yoga Renew. Heidi is passionate about supporting students on their yoga journeys with safe and nurturing practices.

Yoga 1 is a basic instructional class designed for students with a foundation in Iyengar yoga and are looking to expand their understanding and depth of the practice.

Focusing on alignment, the student will become more aware of the balance and differences in the body.  The use of blankets, blocks, belts, chairs or more will be used to help the student benefit from the poses.

Show up with a willingness to learn, observe and explore the different facets of the asanas.

Previous yoga experience is suggested.
