Rock Steady Boxing

Rock Steady Boxing, a unique exercise program, based on training used by boxing pros, and adapted to people with Parkinson’s disease, will now be available at the Monroe County YMCA. The program involves regular exercises, such as stretching, bicycling, running, jump-roping, push-ups, balancing, and lots of non-contact boxing, led by experienced trainers/coaches.  Rock Steady Boxing serves both men and women of all ages and levels of ability.

Rock Steady Boxing, a unique exercise program based on training used by professional boxers and adapted for people with Parkinson’s disease, is now available at the Monroe County YMCA.

The program incorporates a variety of exercises, including stretching, bicycling, running, jump-roping, push-ups, balance training, and plenty of non-contact boxing. Each private lesson is led by an experienced trainer/coach and tailored to the participant’s individual needs and abilities.

Rock Steady Boxing welcomes both men and women of all ages and fitness levels with Parkinson’s Disease, providing an engaging and supportive way to improve strength, balance, coordination, and overall fitness.
