Swim Team - Tiger Sharks (Southeast)
The Tiger Sharks Swim Team provides a safe, fun, and positive atmosphere for youth ages 6-21 to learn and perfect competitive swimming skills. Our coaching staff is passionate about youth development and has helped swimmers accomplish their goals should they be as simple as swimming in their first meet or achieving a YMCA State time cut. Tiger Shark swimmers have opportunities to develop not only swimming skills, but also life skills through a program that cultivates team spirit and engagement.
The team is comprised of 3 training groups: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each group is tailored to suit the needs of each swimmer in regards to endurance, technique, and speed. An initial try out will be scheduled with Coach Taylor via email in order to find the practice group that best fits the needs for your swimmer!
The Tiger Sharks practice year-round and have 2 registration options to provide a flexible training schedule for your swimmer! The 4 day registration option includes practices Monday-Thursday for $80/month. The 2 day registration options include either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday for $40/month. Registration fees are drafted on the 15th of each month. A monthly swim meet is offered during short course season, and monthly bonding events are offered during off season and around the holidays. Meets and team bonding events are optional but highly recommended! All Tiger Sharks must maintain a YMCA membership to participate on the team and be eligible for YMCA State and Zones Championships.
